Sprocket Rocket Camera and Scanned Film Pics
Adventures of Sprocket Rocket Time Machine (FULL SCREEN RECOMMENDED) This video is a slideshow of sprocket rocket camera and some images it produced. Pictures in this video were taken at the following locations 1) Union square, Manhattan, NY 2) Flat iron building, NY 3) At a local soccer practice in New Jersey and 4) At a local St Patricks day parade in New Jersey. Sprocket Rocket is a Lomography-Brand Super wide Panaromic Camera that uses regular 35 mm film. One of its unique feature is it exposes film in between sprocket holes (small rectangular perforations on 35mm film, located on each edge of the film). * News Flash* Film is expensive :) This camera requires lot of light/sunshine and high speed film (ISO 800) to produce usable images. Using a light meter may be helpful since this film camera is not equipped with LCD for preview. It also does not have modern day camera settings, features and powerful flashes to shoot in low light. Having said all that, it's definitely fun to shoot with a film camera and it produces awesome images. Film processing and one hour photo shops have become increasingly rare. After shooting the film, Processing, printing and scanning this panaromic film with sprocket holes is challenging and expensive. Regular labs can develop 35 mm film with no issues but remember to ask them not to cut the negatives. Converting the negative to scanned images and printing them is the real challenge. Most labs are not equipped to scan or print panaromic film ...
